Team members

As a co-founder and owner of Grand Mechanical, Corp. Mr. Grande provides a depth and breadth of knowledge in the field of construction. His father, Robert S Grande, is one of the founding partners of Romar Sheet Metal.  Spending time on site with his father, Mr. Grande learned the logistics of building for a job, developed a network of connections within the industry and began to understand the important process of estimating for job bids.

Raised in Irvington, NY, Mr. Grande attended Boston University, where he received a BS in Biology.  After graduating, he worked for a short time in finance but was quickly hired by BP Air Conditioning in Queens.  His name and reputation for understanding the technical and mechanical aspects of the business, as well as his estimating skills, earned him an opportunity to work for Leher McGovern Bovis.

As a co-founder and owner of Grand Mechanical, Corp. Mr. Slotnick specializes in all contract and vendor negotiations, workflow processes, and the overall bidding process.  Mr. Slotnick works closely with vendor and general contractor company owners to ensure strong and favorable working relationships, some of which as lasted over twenty-years.

Raised in the Bronx, New York, Mr. Slotnick attended Hunter College and received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Western New England Law School.  Prior to Grand Mechanical, Corp., Mr. Slotnick concentrated in complex white-collar civil, commercial, and construction trial litigation.  Mr. Slotnick has extensive trial experience, having been involved in numerous complex civil trials and arbitrations.

Mr. Carrara joined the Grand Mechanical team in September of 2015 as a project manager / superintendent. He graduated from Stonybrook University with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and applied Math and Statistics.  He brings his knowledge and expertise in the mechanical HVAC construction process to each of our projects.

Leonardo (Leo) Fabio joined the Grand Mechanical team in April of 2018, as a project manager.   Over the years, Leo acquired extensive knowledge of the construction process,  as he owned his own construction company.

Mr. Vallaster joined the Grand Mechanical team in June 1998 as a steamfitter labor and later he became the foreman for Grand Mechanical Corp. He has 34 years of experience in the steamfitter labor industry. His reputable knowledge and expertise of the steamfitter intricately mechanical/HVAC work are a great asset to Grand Mechanical Corp.
